		<description>Personally I think it is better to let the exception notifier gem itself handle the rendering of error pages using the static 404 or 500 html pages found in /public

The reason being that what if there is an exception with the code that is used in your custom error handling actions or templates...</description>

Airbrake and co are great, but we just can&#039;t justify paying for something like that just to manage the occasional exception. Probably useful for very busy apps though.</description>
