Professional and Creative
The Client

Established in 1980, Datasharp are one of the UK's largest independent suppliers of business telephone systems. The central Datasharp HQ in Truro, Cornwall, processes orders from around 60 franchised offices across the UK, serving close to 30,000 customers.

The Challenge

Datasharp's initial challenge was very clear, they required an online system that would link all of their UK wide offices to the HQ in Truro. The aim was to allow offices to place orders, construct contracts and manage products online - removing the paper based system that had once been used. The system would need to be integrated with Sage and tie in with internal user access levels.

The Execution

Starting from the ground up, we produced a single sign-on system to manage all users across the offices for multiple software applications. Without waffling technical jargon, we also worked some magic and built the online ordering system, which spanned all UK offices. The efficiencies and benefits gained from having an online system have clearly provided Datasharp with a return many times their investment and we consider our ongoing work with Datashap a testimony to the success of the initial project.

What the client said..

"On interviewing a number of different companies we were extremely impressed by the professional approach, technical ability and commercial understanding of the Storm Consultancy team. We have been delighted that we have developed an excellent working relationship where Storm provide a great deal of positive input, and the result is that we have a site that works well for our business needs. We have been so impressed that we have now asked Storm to carry out a wide range of development work for us, and would have no hesitation in recommending Storm to other businesses."
