It is very important to place your project within the correct business & marketing context.

To do this, think about how your project will integrate with the rest of your organisation, what you want the project to achieve and how you are planning to measure its success.

The importance of profiling

In order for a website to be built effectively, It must be designed with the end user in mind (this could be your staff, customers etc).

The more you know about your users, the better a website can meet their needs.

I need some help

Storm are able to help you profile your target audience by supplying you with information such as - their search preferences, what key words they are searching for and how they interact with websites.

If this is something you are interested in, let us know in the planner.

Tell us about your website

Use this page to tell us as much about your website as possible. We'll be able to advise you and improve your plan based on the details you give us here.

Getting people to your site

Unless you have a captive audience (e.g. for an internal system) perhaps the most important part of your plan should be how you will direct the correct visitors to your website.

A website on its' own is like putting a poster in a field. Nobody will see it & nobody will interact with it.

If you know how you are planning to attract visitors please tell us in this section.

Working with search engines

Helping visitors find your site via search engines and directories is a complex and time consuming process.

This set of questions will help us gauge how much help you need to achieve the top spot.

Getting a head start

If a competitors has already produced something that impresses you, why not use that as a platform on which to improve. This applies to the design (look & feel) and functionality of a competitors offering.

Designing for flexibility

We userstand that you wont want to have to phone your web designer every time you want to change some text or update a picture on your website. So let us know what needs to be changable and we can let you take control.

We're always keen to know how our clients found us. Were you referred by a friend, find us in Google or see one of our adverts?

Where does your project fit?

Will the project fit into a larger marketing push e.g. for the release of a new product?

Why should I measure my projects success?

Measuring your project allows you to evolve & improve your website based on past performance.

It will also allow you to measure the return on your investment.

What is the best way to measure?

Setting easily quantifiable & measurable goals such as '20% of the traffic to my website should view at least one product' or '50 qualified leads per month' will help you keep track of your websites performance.

Remember to be realistic and willing to revise them as the project progresses.

What is a site structure?

At the lowest level, this is the blueprint for your website. E.g. what pages will it have? Here is a very simple example:
- Home
- About
- Products
--- Computers
--- Laptops
--- Mice
